Gift tags with Spring theme

Hello friends ,

I went on to make tags this time on the spring theme , I noticed I tend to use a lot of tags and I had to refill my tags for this season.

I recently bought these tag punches from crafter's corner/ Dress My Craft  and love it . It is called the Rounded Tag Punch.I have used the Peeping Bunny Stamp set from Mudra craft stamps here for the image on the tag and these are perfect for the little creations . I have a good hold on copic colours now and enjoy colouring with these marker pens. Copic markers are available in 358 permanent, non-toxic, alcohol-based ink colors and are refillable using standard color ink refills.

My collection is still small ie with 20 pens compared to the vast numbers they have in the market but I always believe in doing more with what I have and use what I have, do what I can....I have coloured both the images and went on too die cut them and use them differently. I have made use of plenty of my scrapbooking scraps here for these creations.I hope I haven't gone over board on layering the tag in the second creation , but I totally enjoyed putting these together. I have left them without adding ribbons for now.

Finally I went on to make an tag with the flower shaker tag using the Rose Shaker Chipzeb as an inspiration for this months on going challenge at Mudra .

I have coloured the chipzeb from inside and then added the glitters for the shaker . I have coordinated the tag background with two sizes of the Rounded Tags punched out of my stash pattern papers and then the border is given using the Dress My Craft DAISY BORDER PUNCH.

Simon says Cute with Clearly besotted.

Hello friends ,

Here is a colourful tag I have created using "Once upon a Time " stamp set from Clearly besotted.

I totally love the way it turned out , I am using this tag as a gift tag on a birthday gift for my niece who is turning 1 and perfectly as cute as the image here. My son even said that the bears are US now, isn't it?

  • I have used baby theme yellow pattern paper from my stash scraps and made it into a tag using the round tag punch.
  • Over that I have layered the pink small tag with sentiments stamped from Mft BB Happy Hippos Stamp set.
  • I have hand stamped and fussy cut with borders the copic coloured image from "Once upon a Time " stamp set from Clearly besotted .
  • Then I have adhered the fussy cut image to the tag with double sided tape to create a dimension.
  • Finished the tag with a pink ribbon !

Spring creations with Handmade flowers

Hello Friends ,

I have a Copic coloured Bunny card to share today with you all, I am super proud of this creation as I have tried to in cooperate a lot of elements into this card and been able to keep it balanced according to my judgement !

I have used these lovely bunnies from Hello sunshine stamp set from Mudra and coloured them with copics colours and I was thrilled with the results I got. I have been practicing with copic colouring for an year now and very confident about the results now.  I went on to make a card with this image and wanted to make a layered card with it. Further more I even made these flowers using Gardenia die from Mudra .

I have used Dress my Craft Oriental Paper for making these flowers . Steps that went into making these Handmade flowers -  die cut

I die cut 2- 3 flowers from Flower Making Paper using the Gardenia die from Mudra , distressed inked them using a sponge applicator with the colours of my choice .

I have shaped them out using embossing tool as shown . Sometimes when I don't have the patience to emboss I  just pinch the flower petals with my hands.  At this stage you can ink the center and the petal tips of your flower like I have done here.  I have added a bunch of pollen to the center of the smallest flower petal and then started with layering the flower petals on top of each other using a liquid glue as its easy to arrange the flowers to your liking!

I have used a 7x5 sized card when folded here . I have first added a pattern paper over which I have layered 2 round shaped tags in two different sizes . I have then layered a die cut ans a doily with double sided tape giving it dimension and as well space to add the flowers later on. The center is
decorated with the copic coloured bunny image and then I have added the handmade flowers.
I have even added few ready made prima flowers in yellow to the card along with my handmade flowers. Finally the sentiment is added along with one more die cut.

Now moving on to my next creation

This card is a little simpler version of the earlier card and has the same stamp set image used for the creation. Its always usual that when we set out to create something we tend to get many more ideas to play or try out, sometimes we do sometimes we don't. Hence I decided to create both simpler and the layered version of my creations with this stamp set.

The twist in this card is I have used the sentiment inside the card and kept another simple sentiment "Hello Sunshine" on the out.

For this card I have used one layer of pattern paper , 2 layers of die cut rectangles and final layer that holds the coloured image.

My Craft room this year 2019

Hello friends ,

Saturday morning , self care - Journalling.... Filling up my Family Scrapbook is all that I do.

I always believe, to start where you are , use what you have and do what you can !

I have been creative my whole life , my school and my mom had a lot to do with that ... but my crafting business started in 2011 when I went on to put up my first stall in Sunday Soul Santhe,Bangalore. Since then I have moved on from selling at craft fairs , online sales and workshops

Over the years My craft room has grown , with my interest in different creative fields. I have been focusing on Card-making , Scrap-booking and Mixed Media Home decor currently .

Being into crafting business isn't always as glamorous as it may seem , it becomes a bit of juggling act.I work single handily. I am the marketing person of my venture, sales person of my products, the production unit, crafter of my products, the graphic designer and photographer of my products, the packaging and delivery boy at times. Sometimes my whole family needs to get involved so that I can give delivery on time..I have to keep on buying material to make the product look awesome

My current favourites to make have been these DIY 3D SHADOW BOX FRAMES.

No stamp Card with Little Birdie products

Hello folks ,
I am here to share a lovely creation with you all today ...I have made a card without using stamps!!

I get asked often that is it possible to get into card making without stamps ?

Yes Card-making without stamps is possible and that's how we all started and  I have been doing it for long... My idea of card making always held good with pattern papers, chip-board embellishments, ephemera's and stickers... Most of us love these stuffs and hoard them not knowing what to do with it!

Today's creation -
  • I have created the background with one layer of pattern paper from Little birdie Floral card stock which I have cut out with a Gina Marie designs rectangle stitched die.
  •  The second layer is a white card stock with die cut background made using Thin Cut Dies - Daisy Field from Itsy Bitsy further cut out to rectangle using Gina Marie designs rectangle stitched die.
  • I have layered the die cut background on the pattern paper using double sided foam tape to create dimension.
  • I have directly glued down the background on a 6x4 card stock
  • The sentiment, Birthday wishes is from Little birdie 3D HANDMADE STICKERS
  • Finally I have covered the gap on the card stock with washi tape on the corner to complete the creation.
I hope to inspire you to use those stickers and chip-board embellishments that are crying for your attention....That is all for today , Thank you so much for visiting & taking the time to comment on my blog. I love to hear from you & truly appreciate your feedback. Have a crafty day!

Floral love with Heat embossing and water colouring

Hello Friends ,

Mudra Craft Stamps this months challenge FLORAL LOVE inspired me to go ahead and get out of my comfort zone and create these lovely beauties... With so much of fuss going on with water colour around in the craft industry I couldn't resist myself and created all of these keeping the base as water colouring.

Card 1-

I started with creating a card with Fresh Cut Roses stamp set. This stamp set has a single stamp image  that you see here and lovely sentiments along in the set.  I have stamped the roses as it is. This stamp set gives you loads of scope for colouring and experimenting.

I have stamped it with clear Versa mark ink first and them heat embossed the image in Gold embossing powder. Once stamping was done I have coloured the image with combination of water colour pens and Mai Inks. I’m not an big colouring fan and coloring medium for that matter and I just do basic coloring without giving it much thought. I have used water colour card stocks here hence less quantity of  colours gets used and they dry up quick.

I typically have the base of the leaves or petals darkest as this is where you’d normally see most of shadows in nature and keep the tip or the center of the leaf or petal lightest. I have even drawn some lines on the leaves to give it some dimension.

I always love to have bright vibrant colors on my projects and hence coloured them accordingly. Once my coloring was finished I stared working on a sentiment for this card. I have used the sentiment from Floral banner stamp set and used it in such a way that I'm not hiding my creation and colouring behind it. To complete the card I have added Butterflies from the Butterfly flutters stamp set and used Mai Cornflower blue colour to stamp it. Further I have embellished the creation with a few Harvest Mix – Couture Sequins from my stash.I have created a splash of brown overall on the card keeping the coloured image safe. I have adhered the water colour cardstock to a green regular cardstock using double sided tape.

Card 2

I was much more confident when I started this card as I had already tried out my hands on Heat embossed stamped images and water colouring on the other card. For This card I have used Sweet rose stamp set. This is a 3 layer rose stamping stamp set but today I have used only single rose outline for my creation.

I have stamped the image several times and in several different directions with clear Versa mark ink first and them heat embossed the image in Gold embossing powder. I have tried to create a background with this image. Since the rose outline is quite big colouring the image was really easy and fast.I always love to have bright vibrant colors on my projects and this card proves it all .I have coloured the background with a dark green and leaves in lighter shades of green. I have added Butterfly image from the Butterfly flutters stamp set and used Mai Cornflower blue colour to stamp it. I have used sentiment from Birthday wishes stamp set and stamped the sentiment using Mai Lilac ink to go with the lovely coloured roses . Completed the card by layering the water coloured card stock on an Lilac card stock.

Card 3 -

Choosing from the lovely collection of Mudra's Floral stamp sets has been hard for me but showcasing the stamp sets in different manner is what I intend to do here , hence going with the latest release The floral love stamp set.I haven't done anything much different around here other than colouring all the flowers in the same colours. I have stamped the Image with black ink and water coloured the flowers.I have drawn layers and created depth in the flower image using gel pen.
I have used copics markers to highlight the love in the Image.I have added the sentiment flat on the card stock using Mai Ruby red along with the little heart.Complete the card by layering it on a red card stock .

Card 4 -

This card is created using the good old technique of adding colours to stamp set with brush pens and stamping. I have tried doing the same here and love the results I have got using the  Floral Silhouette stamp set. I have coloured the stamp with zig marker water colours Spritz some water on the colored stamp. Then stamp the wet stamp onto the water colour paper.I have created a background with these Floral SilhouetteI have used sentiment from Birthday wishes stamp set and stamped the sentiment using Mai Lilac ink to go with the lovely stamped flowers.

I totally enjoyed making these and If you have been hoarding the Floral stamp sets or ever wanting to try these its time to take them out and rock it just like I did it !! I hope you found my cards inspiring. Do give the Mai inks a try. They really are amazing!

We look forward to seeing your entries in this month's Mudra Challenge -
