Buddha Canvas Art / Mixed Media Buddha Wall Decor

Hello Friends ,

Im sharing a wall decor creation I recently worked on along with my kiddo

Buddha Canvas Art / Mixed Media Buddha Wall Decor

Supplies required -
  • Canvas
  • Buddha stencil
  • Acrylic paint
  • Modelling paste / Texture paste
  • Spatula
  • Paint brushes
  • Floral Flourish Chipzeb.
  • Once you are ready with your supplies, start with adhering the Buddha stencil on the canvas as to where you want the Buddha image to be made on the canvas.
  • We decided it to go in the center of the canvas
  • Next step is to create the texture image using the stencil. This is the fun part of  the creation using the Texture paste and the spatula.
  • Kids will love create the textured image in a jiffy! Slowly remove the stencil and wash and save it for later.
  • The textured image needs to dry for further steps. You can heat dry it but I chose to air dry it.
  • Once the image is dried I have painted the inside of the flower and the face with colour of my choice and added details to it
  • My kid chose to give the black outline on the stenciled textured outlines
  • The rest of the canvas was painted to earthy colours by my kid
  • We decided to finish off the canvas wall art with Floral Flourish Chipzeb.

Me and my Kiddo enjoyed making this Buddha Canvas Art / Mixed Media Buddha Wall Decor!

Art-Tribal Masks canvas wall decor

Hello friends ,

Im here today to share a canvas creation, Art-Tribal Masks canvas wall decor. My son picked up this ToyKraft Tera Art-Tribal Masks kit from Itsy Bitsy during our last trip to the store .

This tribal face mask kit includes four terra-cotta faces with distinct designs and size. It also includes one paint canister of 6 non-toxic colours (5ml each), one bottle of acrylic colour with base-flesh tint for giving the skin tone, one bottle of metallic acrylic golden colour for highlighting, one paint brush, one bottle of adhesive glue and two decorative veneered panels. You can also create artistic looking name plates or wall displays with this ToyKraft tera art tribal masks.

Once my son was done with making the mask as per the easy to follow instructions given in the kit and colouring them he had no interest in making a name plate hence left it as it is. Seeing the masks and all the efforts he put in making them I thought of making a wall decor using these Tribal faces.

I started with a Canvas panel , which I have painted with gesso. I used chipboard cut out wastes or negatives to create the background. I stuck that also with gesso and once dried I have layered it with sand texture leaving the surface with a grainy texture.

Once the canvas was ready to be worked on I have used Alcohol ink spray and mixed and matched to create the marble background . Once I was satisfied with the background I have dried it and glued the Tribal Masks over the Canvas. The wall art seemed incomplete till I got to add the chipboard sentiment . We both loved the outcome.

This creation is a joint effort by the mom and the kiddo and hence a perfect Childrens day activity isnt it???

My star shadow box frame

Hello friends ,

My journey into crafting began with Scrap booking, mostly documenting my baby's milestones. Over the years it has evolved to book binding and memory album making but I still journalise and document my Life.I follow fewer rules and have adopted to many styles over the period from 12x12 scrap booking layouts to Becky Higgins Project life.

Once in a while I create 12x12 layouts and try different styles like Here , Today I am sharing a shadow box frame in which I have documented a day in my life. This is a 10x10 frame made with DCWV paper. You can see I have caught the shadow box bug this year clearly visible in my last few creations Here .

I have documented a picture of my little boy and describing him as my Star just like what his name Dhruv means , The Sanskrit term Dhruva nakshatra "immovable star" is used of the polar star for this Hindu name.

I have used tag die cuts , embossed flower diecuts and created a scene with a lil birdie and a tree. The theme focusses on nati

The sketch -

Playing along with Sketchabilities.

Tagalicious

Hello friends

“Today I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says all things are possible.” – Anonymous

With one more year coming to an end , I look back into my planner and see all that I noted and planned for my blog posts, I was able to make it and much more this year.... I have been able to be consistent here and that is what making me happy today. Thank you all for being here with me and being a support without you all it wouldn't have been possible.

It's good to enjoy simple things. You don't always have to go for few hours of creating, sometimes 20 minutes is all you need to enjoy a creative process.  I'm sharing creations that I randomly made or let me put it like quick tags I made with scraps or what ever I found on my table. I must say I love doing this all the while and each time I surprise myself.

I am playing along with watercolour splashes to create the background of this tag and have tried out my favourite colour combination here.

For this tag I have used die cuts, paper pierced stamped image along with some scraps for background . Finally added a sentiment , chipboard heart and a tiny flower. I make it look simple but these tiny pieces are a challenge to fall in place perfectly isn't it?

Finally a baby girl themed vintage shabby chick card ! I have added stamped flowers fussy cut and die cut butterfly to go with.

These creations inspire me on a day to basis and go into my scrapbook albums or mini albums as embellishment. This helps me be creative daily as well they get used, giving me a  win win situation !
