Altenew - Daisy for May 2018 inspiration challenge

Hello friends ,

I have a new card and a matching tag to share today that I made using daisy stamp set from Altenew. This is one cute lil stamp set I can hardly resist!!  Here's a look at what I have made:

I started with stamping the floral image on my Bristol cardstock.  Then I fussy cut them , I did the same with the leaves .

I have used a aqua blue cardstock as the base .
I have adhered spellbinders simple lattice die cut as second layer to the card in white .
Further I have used Mudra chipzeb wreath leaves which I have colored in teal chalk paint .
Over this leafy wreath I have used the fussy cut flowers and arranged them to go with composition of the card .
Finally I have gone with the sentiment matching the colours of the card  and the pink stones are adhered to complete the card.

I have created a tag with the same colour combination in mind but with more of pink . I created the tag base on watercolour paper with Timholtz tag die . I have used worn lipstick and abandoned coral distress inks to fill in the pink on the tag in a combination .

With a closer look of the tag you can see splashes of the teal chalk paint on the tag as the base over which I have layered the wreath and the flowers .
I popped the flowers on foam dots for dimension. Here's a closer shot

I created this card  and the Tag to play along with this month's Altenew Inspiration Challenge. The colours for this month's challenge are very soft and pretty, and I wanted to create something using them.

That's it from my side for today. Thanks for dropping in would love to know if you enjoyed my work too!! Thank you for stopping by!

Travel diary - Dubai 2018 scrapbook

Hello Friends

I am big fan of scrapbooking and I keep making travel albums as and when possible . I journalise and document my personal life too but when it comes to clicking pictures and sharing on the blog the laziness sets in ! It is like I prefer wordless wednesdays and want the pictures to do the talking.... so preferably I end up sharing it on instagram and forget about it .

Todays creation is one such forgotten creation , The creation started with journalising our trip to Dubai this Jan 2018 ... so I call it Travel diary - Dubai 2018 scrapbook

I celebrated my Birthday in Dubai and wanted this to be documented as soon as possible . My Mom's Birthday also falls in the end of Jan , since she was a part of this trip I wanted to gift this album to her on her Birthday.

I choose to go with a map theme patterned paper and layered picture on the cover page .
The flowers are stamped and fussy cut . These were made for a colouring challenge and fit in well on this album cover . After a long time I have used Alphabet tiles from DCWV chipboards collection .

This is a 8x8 creation with pretty much flat lying details as they could be easily carried around for my Mom to share stories of this travel . It's always special to make something for your parents rt as they take so much pride in it ! I'm glad I did make it on time for her this time !!

Thanks for dropping in would love to know if you enjoyed my work too!

Cards with chipboard elements

Hello friends ,
Im sharing 2 cards I have created with Mudra's chipboard elements !

Card Details
I have used a watercolored card stock as the base here
I have played along two different watercolour sprays and Mandala stencil to create this background
Once it dried I have adhered the Pretty butterfly chipzeb  to add dimensions along with the sentiment from Butterfly flutters stamp set .
Finally the card is completed with Yellow – Couture Sequins.

Im playing along  Simon Says: Stencil It

Now moving on to the second creation of the day

Here is a tall card I made . I started off with the scraps of pattern papers in my stash and followed up layers till I was happy with background created .

Next step was the easy one with the spring floral chipzeb and the Leaf circle chipzeb . I placed them after a lot of permutations and combinations . Now they fell in place perfectly .

Finally completed this tall card with roses bouquet in the same shade as the base . Im happy experimenting with this look !

Mother's day Creation

Hello Crafty Peeps ,

Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May. India celebrates Mother's day on  2nd sunday of May  ie 13th May this year , on this occasion I created this card for my Mom.

Details of the card
  • I have used a watercolor cardstock as the white base here
  • I have used Geo angles stencil and texture paste to create the background
  • I have splashed water colours green and blue to create a mixed media background.
  • Once the base is  dry I have adhered the Geometrical heart chipzeb  on it.
  • I have stamped and shabby watercolored the rose bud stamp set .
  • Adhered the fussy cut stamp design to the  Geometrical heart chipzeb  after trying out various combination .
  • I have used small heart chipzebs from Mini hearts set and finished the look with the sentiment .
  • I finally adhered the creation to a navy blue cardstock to complete the look.

Mother's day Layout

I wanted to create a layout to document this creation and didn't find any other way than add the Mother's day card on to my layout ! Interesting isn't it ?

I have used my lil bits of scraps on the corner most end to start the layout with !

I have used the smaller heart from the  Geometrical heart chipzeb  here as the base and once again used shabby watercolored rose bud stamped image and fussy cut to create a layer here . I have added sentiments like love you mom and you are my sunshine to go with the picture !

Here I have layered the layout with fancy flourish chipzebs and rose bud stamped and fussy cut images .

I have layered the card and the picture side by side to complete the layout . I totally love how this creation turned out , with plenty of space to write my heart out inside the card !

Thanks for dropping in would love to know if you enjoyed my work too!

Embossing texture on alterations tick-tock

Hello Friends,

I have an interesting makeover today at my Blog , I am talking about the empty brown tape which I have used here as the base . This is an improvised version of my creation done few years back HERE .

Supplies used -
Empty Brown glue tape base
Itsy Bitsy Pearlised metallic paint
Sizzix Tim holtz alterations tick-tock die (BIGZ DIE-TICK TOCK) to cut Chipboard
Itsy Bitsy Decoupage paper - Timeless Beauty is cut in circle shape
Itsy Bitsy Wild Rose - Coral Blend flowers and Handmade Florets
Itsy Bitsy 2mm Chipboard
Itsy Bitsy Pearlised metallic paint
Little Birdie Crackle Medium
Little birdie colour splash- Mocha
Little birdie Embossing texture paste - Frosty fizz
Stencil - Baroque Design
palette knife

I have painted the Brown tape ring in and out with acrylic colours - Itsy Bitsy Pearlised metallic paint. For the inside backdrop I have added the circle cut Itsy Bitsy Decoupage paper - Timeless Beauty as the base to make it like a spool !

For the centre I have created texture with Little birdie Embossing texture paste - Frosty fizz and Stencil - Baroque Design. Little birdie Embossing texture paste is a Thick heat embossing paste perfect for adding textures and dimensions to projects and it Dries to a matt finish. The embossing texture paste is amazing and very easy to use. It can be easily applied through the stencils .This texture paste needs heating after application and on heating it creates bubble like texture.
The resultant texture can be controlled by using controlled use of heat. The more you heat, the more bubbles start appearing.

To keep the design easily seen I have heat set this till the point the bubbles start appearing. I have used a palette knife to create this texture on the curvy background .

For both the ends I have cut chipboard 2mm the Tick tock die cut which is sturdy to make it stand like a clock! I have painted it with Itsy Bitsy Pearlised metallic paint and layered it with Little Birdie Crackle Medium . I have used Little birdie colour splash- Mocha to create the rust texture on the clock .

To embellish the Clock I have used Itsy Bitsy Wild Rose - Coral Blend flowers and Handmade Florets. Finally added a metal embellishment of the eiffel tower !!

This goes to my creative corner as a home decor !!

Im playing along
