Blessed - New year Mixed media creation

Hello friends ,
Im at Mudra's Blog with few more creations and inspirations towards the end of the year.

I have a Star Canvas for you , something I made during Christmas as a part of my Christmas Decor Ornament. I have used Snowflakes Stencils and decorated the stencil and then coloured it with blue and glitters. Further I have layered it with Snowflakes Chipzeb and Snowflakes Frame Chipzeb . Here you can see how I have gone about decorating the star and close ups.

I totally love how much we can do with  these chipzeb shapes....

Coming to my next project , This is a 8x8 canvas creation. I have created the base with all my scrap pattern paper pieces and decorated the way along.

I have used Christmas Poinsettia Stamp to build the background and coloured the area excluding the stamped flowers.

I have used Handdrawn Mandala Chipzeb as the center of the creation and decorated along with flowers .

finally I have used Words#3 Chipzeb to complete the creation .

This creation is something dear to me as we come to an end of another year of creating , learning and inspiring ! Hoping to see you all next year...Happy New year to you all!
That is all for today. See you soon.

Christmas Decor Ornaments with Mudra picture frame Chipzebs

Hello Friends ,

Im over Mudra blog with inspirations for their current challenge - Seasonal card/projects.

Its time of the year when we all gear up to decorate the Christmas tree and its all about the holiday season.Since we do not put up a tree at home, my son volunteers at school to get the tree decorations and I gear up to make something exciting.

This year I decided to make our very own  Christmas Decor Ornaments with Mudra  Picture frame chipzeb collection. Here are the 3 different frames used to make these Christmas Decor Ornaments which can be personalised with family pictures, isn't it amazing?

1. Picture Frame – Rectangle Chipzeb Chistmas Decor Ornament.

I have used Christmas Chipzeb to create this beautiful scene on the picture frame. I have been waiting to create this scene since I got my hands on these chipzebs.

How I have gone about it -
  • I have coloured the chipzeb with water colours first and then added the snow details with embossing texture paste.
  • The look isn't complete without glitter, so I have used sparkle whipped cream over the roof and detailing on the snow and the tree to create this magic.

Here's the close up on how well it turned out on the frame -

  • For the frame I have dry brushed the frame with green chalk paint giving it a rustic look , I tried this technique for the first time but I totally loved the outcome !
  • I have added Christmas theme pattern paper in the background of the frame .
  • I have added the snow flake chipzeb with glitters giving it the snow wonderland look.

2. Picture Frame-Scalloped Heart Chipzeb Christmas Decor Ornaments

3. Picture Frame Circle Chipzeb

These 2 projects are made simple and easy , I have used pattern papers and paints on the frame and covered it with glitters to complete the look I have added the red roses !

Precious Moments scrapbook for Anniversary

Hello Friends

Here is a Love album, Romantic/love/anniversary handmade personalised albums/scrapbook made on commission basis for a couple celebrating their 10th anniversary.

The album holds 9 sheets of embellished layouts and fun folds along with 2 chipboard covered hard bound cover.

The scrapbook had beautifully decorated layouts in each page that hold 1 to 2 pictures and few secret message tags or pull outs.

I have an exciting accordion fold at the beginning of the album to hold all the love and messages.

The card finishes off with another lovely creation ie a card wishing the couple !

I was totally pleased to see the couple like my creation and give me an awesome feedback! What is more important for an artist than the happiness of seeing such positive feedback

9 things to keep in mind as you turn 9

Hello Friends ,

My son's 9 this month and I made this project just to wish him and make him feel special with my handmade creation !!

This is a Mixed media project on a cake base.  I challenged myself while deciding the colours , I have used the circle cake base and stars keeping it to the Christmas theme but I decided not to use the usual holiday colours Red and green ! I chose the blue , gold and chocolate browns which also are also the colours we come across this season isn't it?

I have applied Gesso to the cake base and prepared it for the next step of the creation. Here I have used Steampunk Stencils and created this texture on the base.

I have dry brushed the base after I heat dried the texture created. I have used chocolate and gold shades of acrylics here.

I have cut and primed the star shaped chipboard with gesso and crackle paste. I have left them to air dry for a day then I have used chalk paints  to colour them . Over the chalk paints I have dry brused the copper arcylic colours to create this rustic look on the star. The small star is coloured with chalk paint and stenciled with falling stars stencils.

The next step is to put all together, I decided to make this something special and pass on few messages for him. I have printed out the messages and used them along the Gears chipzebs to complete the all boy look on the Mixed media creation !

I totally loved the end result of this creation and hope my son loves it too...

Camera box with a Star shaped Album

Hello friends,

I have been experimenting with my creations lately and enjoying the out comes.Sometimes I wonder, why dint I do this earlier ??? but then you see I'm juggling between Home , kid and travel, no help ,very less time for myself and my craft and end up taking the easier path.
This year has been more of doing what I love to do and in terms of what I want to do and so more satisfying creations I must say !

Coming over to the creation , This Camera box with a Star shaped Album was made for a Wild Life photographer. I have made the album that has its own charm and can be put up on display along with a box that has an camera lens and bigger than the usual as the ones that is used for Wild Life photography ! Attention to details you see...

I have used mostly Blue and brown colours for this Birthday creation. On the cover page I have used the Film strip chip board and the ephemera again are related to camera and photography !

This is how how the Star shaped Album looks when put up for display .

The album is filled with the photographers work and hope he feels I have done justice to it !

The added beauty is the space for the birthday message and much more to be added !

This is how the box opens and the album out .

That is all for today :)

Explosion box card with triple heart center

Hello Friends

I have been making a lot of crafts this year and I am happy I am reaching my goal of gifting handmade.

This is an interesting make for a friend whose wife was leaving off to a foreign land for work and I was all excited when he requested something handmade and thoughtful for her. I couldn't think of something more interesting than an Explosion box card with triple heart center.

I have made sure I decorated all the corners of the box with encouraging and loving sentiments.

Explosion box -You can use it in many ways, as a card to express your feeling, Exploding box which substitutes a greeting card in a unique form with options to add personalized messages and even a small gift along with photographs. A dimensional piece of pure love and beauty! Once opened the four sides fall delicately to reveal the gorgeous designs with options to write messages for the recipient. Here u can see a triple heart center to express all the love

The center is well decked up with a Triple heart easel with lovely small envelopes with hearts popping out and flowers.

I made sure I added some bon voyage messages as well more space for the husband to fill in the tags!

I was totally pleased to see the couple like my creation and give me an awesome feedback on my page as well they were sweet enough to send me a video message ! What is more important for an artist than the happiness of seeing such positive feedback
