Scrap board with Mixed Media with Alcohol splash

Hello Dearies ,

I would like to bring it to your notice that I do not live in Bangalore anymore .
A lot has changed with the relocation to Birmingham U.K, I cannot wait to explore the tremendous options here. You can expect a lot of updates coming your way through me from here. It would be amazing if you guys have any recommendations/must visit craft stores in U.K- will be awaiting for your replies

I am today here with my creation using Itsy Bitsy's newly launched 'Gold Alcohol Splash '.

The wonderful range of Itsy Bitsy Gold Alcohol splash can be used in endless number of combinations both on porous as well as non-porous surfaces like paper, glass, metal and more. These vibrant hues in spray bottles are great for card making, scrapbooking, mixed media, altered art , bottle art and much more.

The Gold Alcohol splash sprays give excellent coverage on porous as well as non porous surfaces. Few puffs of these sprays add vibrant gold splash on glossy paper & on porous card stock. It renders an amazing shimmer, which is hard to capture on camera.

My creation today is totally an effect of my trip this weekend to the sea aquarium and goes as part of my family scrapbook.

The trip has inspired me to go overboard and be bold with my creation, I chose the colours for the project with my son's help, so this is a team effort !

Here I have tried to recreate a underwater scene for the background on the canvas! I love the shades and how sparkly they are due to the gold effect ...... so perfect for the Sea theme , what say?

I began with directly using the spray on the canvas , totally love the effect.

Instantly used the blending solution to give the special effects and lighten the shades wherever I felt it was necessary, got to work quickly as these inks dry very fast.

Once again I sprayed the same three colors, this time to create stains and and let them dry.
Once dried, they start looking like the jelly fishes we saw at the aquarium

Further, I added chipboard elements to go with the theme and that highlights the photo .

To add to its effect, I have coloured the chipboard mermaids to go with our family picture , I totally love the way it turned out .

These sprays are so fun to play with !

As I place it on our side table I can actually admire the shine and the shimmery gold shades on it! Totally worth it!!

I hope to have inspired you to join us at the Itsy Bitsy's challenge this month.

Good day

Cereal box journal cover with Classy Chic burlap stack

Hello Friends ,
Im back to journaling for the brand new month and I love creating my own journals and this time I have made my Journal cover using the cereal box and given it a makeover with Classy Chic burlap stack .

I am still a little old-fashioned when it comes to taking notes and I usually have at least two pocket notebooks in my purse at all times (one for craft ideas and the other for making to do lists). I realized that I am also very picky when it comes to choosing the perfect notebook

Shabby Chic Burlap Stack--one of the latest releases at the store,

It's a whole pack of 12x12 inch laminated burlap sheets which are perfect for mini album covers, embellishment, layouts...I can go on :D

layout with burlap sheet

Inside the album I have used double sided sheets and will be decorating them as and when I put them to use .

I have embellished with butterflies to match with the theme

These are so easy and fun to make!! Hope to have inspire you all !

Thank you so much for visiting & taking the time to comment on my blog . I love to hear from you & truly appreciate your feedback.

Classy chic layout

Hello Friends

Today I am at Itsy Bitsy Blog here to inspire you to create something with

Anything Goes using  Shabby chic or Classy chic or Burlap panel

My love for layouts is very well know and I simply cant think for other things more than layouts and journals :P

Here is a layout created with shabby chic paper pack

First step is to layer your layout with interesting patterns and once you are happy with it falling in place glue it down to start working on it !

I have tried stenciling on the layout with the modelling paste and the stencil

here I have blended chalk paints with the modelling paste to give it a new shade to be monochromatic with the layout

I have further stenciled with plain modelling paste for more interesting textures

Finally decorated it with chipboard elements which again is chalk painted and I totally cant get over them :)

For the final touch I have attend the natural flowers and butterfly :)

Hope to have inspired you , Wish to see more of my creations for inspiration, please click here
