Water Colour Crayons

Hello Friends,
Summer vacations are on  and we are crafting together (my son, jr artist) so we are trying new stuffs each day. Today we are sharing something new we found at the stationary !
We've tried watercolor pencils before a few times and they've never worked well for us, but I recently found some watercolor crayons to try and we are all thoroughly impressed.
Jr and I spent much of the afternoon drawing with them yesterday and then painting over the drawings with water to create the watercolor effect. This box comes with 12 colours.
You can use them to make great quick and easy backgrounds; also for stamping. And they are easy and fun to use. These particular watercolor crayons feel and draw more like oil pastels than traditional crayons

Here a quick tutorial.

1. Start with coloring around your water colour paper with
a few colors of watercolor crayons.

Take a cup of water and a brush.
Dip your brush in water and paint over the watercolor
crayons. This way you make a wonderful background
for your card.

They glide on smoothly and the colors are vibrant. The effect is different (you can see the crayon lines underneath at places) but still attractive and effective.

Here have used Water colour paper, watercolour crayons pink, red, and orange
blings from stash
stickers
3x4  cards snap school by simple stories

Not only is this a wonderful technique for cards, but it is also great to make your own Scrapbook or canvas background.

You do not have to add color only to the border, but you can make doodles with the crayon

and add water to color the complete page.

Here you can see a Spring day scene with elements  grass, flowers, spring colours

Here I have used -Canvas,
Pattern Paper scraps  - Challenge #179 - Paper Strips
, stickers and jute die cut heart, brushes along with Water Colour Crayons
Have you tried watercolor crayons?
Would love to hear from you
regards
