Art Display Board

Hello Friends

Since my little one started nursery almost 4 months ago he has been bringing home the sweetest coloring pages!  I've been seeing some fun ideas on how to display kids art work at home
Here is my version!
I always wanted to have a colourful Alphabet wall art and as well cloth pins for art display so combined my needs & came up with this :)

Make these display boards for the kids school work and awards.

They are simple to make all you need is a canvas (any size),

Here I have used 16x16 sized canvas Here .
I wanted a big one so went on with this n had plenty of space to decorate!

I have added some wooden shapes, coloured paper, wooden pegs, PVA glue to put all this together.

If you get the wooden shapes you can either paint them or trace them onto coloured paper,

I went on with Dcwv the DCWV Grade School Stack, They have wonderful papers love the Albphabets & numbers I have used here :)
The black board PP is also from the same stack!

It even has coordinate ephemeras that I have used here and love it :) perfect for my Board !!

Dhruv has already started using it! This one shall go into his room on the blue wall :)

Now we have shifted to Our Own New house ,
I am trying my best to decorate it so many more creations to come :)
I am so waiting for this to go on its right place :)
Please share your views on this

Thank you so much for visiting & taking the time to comment on my blog. I love to hear from you & truly appreciate your feedback. Have a crafty day!

Handmade Flower

Hello Friends,
I am here to share Something interesting , I am making handmade flowers....
here's what I have been making with my Scallop circle dies!

This is the same Flower I made for the ItsyBitsy Big Shot party!
This tag is a recycled art where in I have used the back drop from the sticker backing  & I have used some stickers to cover up the name :)

Made the flower using scallop thin cut dies from ItsyBitsy !
There are 3 layers of the flower from the 4th scallop....
I have just crumbled the scallops to give it this effect :)
I have used black ink to give it a distressed look!

Used a big button for the center & chipboard embellishment here with a coordinating butterfly!

My Family Scrapbook

Hello Friends,

Its been long time that I have shared progress on my Family Scrapbook , I am making sure Dhruv's special moments are treasured !

"A memory is a way of holding onto things you love, the things you are, and the things you never want to lose."

I started scrap-booking or say recording details in my life after my son was born in a special way called Scrap-booking. I have always been a "Dear Diary" kind of girl , writing and treasuring moments in life.

This is the first album I ever made in 2009 and this one was filled up at the right time for my son's birthday in 2010 !! I totally loved how it turned out and decided to keep making books every year with each years best pics and records!

Scrap-booking is a method of preserving, presenting, arranging personal and family history in the form of a book. It include photographs, printed media, and artwork. Scrapbook albums are often decorated and frequently contain extensive journaling or written descriptions

I began this journey with an Handmade recycled paper photo album that was available at Gangarams, a book store in Bangalore. This album is 8x12" inches in size and handmade papaers inside has alternated butter sheets. Its tied down with a strong twine on the ends. The dried flowers on the cover have weathered off over the years.

I found a scrap-booking Kit from Hobby ideas perfect for a boy with lovely printed papers and stickers to go with it.

I started writing my heart out in it with my glitter pens. This process is called Journaling in scrapbooking and it  generally involves the practice of keeping a diary or journal that explores thoughts and feelings surrounding the events of your life. Without journalling this album would remain a plane photo alum isn't it?

My Family Scrapbook -First Year book

I started with store bought albums that was spiral bound and totally loved its embroidered cover. This album is a typical photo album that I decorated inside with my style of scrapbooking .
I bought this album again at Gangarams in 2010 and had shared its First page here

This album is 12x12" inches in size and Black papers inside has alternated butter sheets.

I was updating all the pic only on FB as I was filling up the book in my own terms and themes not actually following the system of layouts :) sooner I felt its just my way of Scrap-booking !

First page in this book

This year I have not just been recording, journalising with pictures as well trying my best to embellish them & follow some layouts !

The last and best page of this book discussed here

In 2011 I found a 12x12 album in Itsy bitsy craft store and went ahead and decorated the front page

To decorate the front cover I have used fabric tape, felt letters, journaling , faux stitching & even when ahead with some fussy cutting with the picture :) You can see page by page details Here

Finally I even made an Handmade Family Scrapbook for us

All the details of the book are Here with page by page pictures

I am soo happy with the outcome !! Have loads to share about the books pics coming up next !
